In a strange new media based silly season which kicked off today, WTF1 founder Tom Bellingham, and long time host, Matt Gallagher have announced that they are leaving the media outlet to start something new. They’ve since implemented a brand new team, but this also will spark questions around what their new project is.

A bigger question might be how this will affect WTF1, which has become a giant, at least in F1 circles after becoming the first fan-based outlet to get over 1 million subscribers on YouTube, crossing that line before even it’s owner The Race Media that purchased WTF1 in 2020.
It’s unclear whether the new team taking over will be able to continue the success onwards, especially given WTF1 was always more about the personalities than the concept. However only time will tell.
